Luanda - The 6th Consultative Council of the Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) this Friday, in Luanda, highlighted the evolution of multimedia content, whose area has moved from being a supporting role to the main actor in the company.
The council was held under the slogan "ANGOP: expanding communication to strengthen its affirmation", as part of the agency's 48th anniversary activities, to be marked on the 30th of October.
The Consultative Council also emphasised that within the scope of news coverage, the multimedia area had gone from being a mere supporting actor to the main player in the coverage of various events, including live broadcasting.
On this subject, at the closing ceremony of the event, the ANGOP's CEO, Josué Isaías, emphasised the need for professionals in the information area, in addition to producing texts, to acquire knowledge of photography and filming techniques.
Josue Isaías said that this exercise would respond to the challenges facing the company and contribute innovative ideas with a view to making it profitable.
The participants to the event, recommended increasing the production of cultural news, technological innovation, the revival of civic and patriotic values and the productive sector, especially family farming.
They also recommended training journalists in economic matters and foreign languages, strengthening interaction between provincial offices and headquarters in order to improve news quality and equipping them with technical resources to keep up with the dynamics of technological development.
They also want to boost the marketing of advertising, pub-reporting, news packages, videos and photos to public and private organisations.
The council, which took place from the 18th to the 20th of October, assessed the activities carried out since 2021 and outlined plans for the company's dynamisation in the coming years.
