Luanda - Angola will host the "Colors of Peace" competition on April 4 to 5, which aims, among other things, to promote values that contribute to a culture of peace and unity among people, social inclusion and tourism.
The initiative of the Angola-Italy Friendship and Solidarity Association was presented on Saturday evening in Luanda and will be held for the first time in Angola.
Speaking to the press, the president of the Angola-Italy Friendship and Solidarity Association, Josefa Albino, said that through painting on canvas, children between the ages of six and 12 will portray the benefits of peace in different areas.
Josefa Albino said that they are currently working with the provincial governments, through the Departments of Culture and Tourism, public and private schools, among other institutions, to hold the competition.
The founding member of the Angola - Italy Friendship and Solidarity Association, Secretary of State for Media, Nuno Caldas Albino, welcomed the initiative being carried out by two countries with excellent relations of friendship and cooperation.
According to the official, this is a healthy project that society should embrace, as it praises the values of peace and fraternity and draws attention to preserving the gains made in a wide range of areas.
The competition has already been promoted in 20 countries by the Italian association Colors of Peace. This is the first time it will be held in the African country. LDN/OHA/DAN/AMP
