Sumbe - The administrator of Sumbe, António Wenga Franco, said Saturday that the government of Kwanza Sul province would continue implementing social and economic projects aimed at improving the welfare of the region's youths.
Speaking during a meeting with youths from several social organisations of Sumbe, the official assured that the youth is one of the priorities, reason why the Government is investing in sustainable projects, aiming at improving the living quality of this fringe of the society.
In the occasion, the administrator appealed to the youths to bet on entrepreneurship, in order to promote self-employment.
During the meeting, the young people advocated the strengthening of programmes that aim to guarantee access to housing and to the labour market.
Similarly, they requested more policing in the city centre and in the peripheral neighbourhoods, in order to fight crime in the circumscription.
In his turn, the secretary of the Sumbe Municipal Youth Council, António Evomoi, made known that the meeting had as objective the dialogue between the youths and the municipality officials, for the analysis of the problems that affect the class.
