Moçâmedes – Seven members of the same family died, on Sunday, as a result of a road accident that occurred on national road 280 (Kilometer 38), via Huíla-Namibe, ANGOP has learned.
The information was provided by the spokesman for the provincial command of the National Police, Ernesto Kalianguila, adding that among the fatal victims, three were female, including one under one year of age.
Ernesto Kalianguila pointed out excessive speed and the vehicle's poor technical condition as the presumed causes of the incident.
“This is an accident that involved a Toyota Hilux vehicle, with registration number LD-34-43-FM. It was driven by a 46-year-old citizen, who was unharmed, and was carrying 10 people. The road and traffic services continue to carry out investigations to determine the real causes of the disaster and we will provide more information later”, he highlighted.
I appeal to all drivers to respect the driving code, in order to avoid this type of situation.
