Caxito – Two people died last Sunday, victims of an accident, in the town of Panguila, at National Road (EN) 100, municipality of Dande, Province of Bengo.
The incident occurred when one of the rear tires of a Toyota Prado vehicle burst and collided with another heavy vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
The victims are Alexandra Sebastião José Teixeira (Seminarist and theologian of the Catholic Church) and Elsa Cristina Izequele from the Fundamental Evangelization Movement who were returning from the XVII pilgrimage to the sanctuary of Santa Ana, which ended on that day.
Speaking to ANGOP, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Caxito, Father Evaristo Neketela, regretted the event and informed that at this moment the church and the family are making arrangements for the funeral.
Traffic and Road Safety experts in the Province of Bengo point to a tire burst and excessive speed as the presumed causes of the accident.
