Malanje – At least one person has died and three injured as a result of a road accident that occurred Sunday at national road 230, in Angola’s northern Malanje province.
The accident occurred when a Land Cruiser carrying catholic worshipers crashed and overturned with four occupants who were returning from a religious mission in Cangandala municipality.
The deceased, Jorge Luis Rodriguez Baqueiro, who was driving the vehicle, was a priest of the Catholic mission in Cacuso municipality, while two mothers and a priest are receiving assistance at the Malanje General Hospital.
According to the head of Traffic and Road Safety in Malanje, Bilson Santos, the slippery pavement due to the rain could be the reason for what happened.
