Malanje - Three deaths and an equal number of injuries are the result of a road accident that occurred on Thursday (22), in the Quingulo neighborhood, in the commune of Caxinga, municipality of Mucari, involving a National Police vehicle on a duty mission.
The vehicle that was leaving the municipality of Cambundi-Catembo towards the city of Malanje, collided with a palm tree and then overturned, in an attempt to avoid colliding with a motorbike, which, when leaving the interior of the neighborhood, surprisingly entered the carriageway.
The van belonging to the Provincial Command of the National Police, with 7 people on board, was transporting three detainees to the city of Malanje, where they would be investigated for crimes, of which two and the driver died.
ANGOP was informed by the spokesperson for the Provincial Civil Protection and Fire Brigade Command, Júlia da Conceição, highlighting those investigations carried out show that excessive speed was at the basis of the accident.
Of the injured, two seriously injured are receiving care at the Municipal Hospital of Mucari and two are out of danger, while the bodies were dropped in the morgue of the Malanje General Hospital.
