Luena - Women's participation in the country's changes, with actions that encourage well-being in communities, is increasingly needed.
This position was defended Mond by the director of the provincial office of Social Action, Family and Gender Equality (GASFIG) of Moxico Province, Ester Vumbi, when addressing “The positioning of women at home and social challenges” during a workshop.
At the meeting, promoted by the Association of Students of Private Universities of Angola (AEUPA), Ester Vumbi recalled that the construction of great societies has always included the participation of women, hence the need for their participation in the changes that the country currently needs.
To achieve this purpose, he reiterated that women need to be equipped with knowledge, to become multifaceted, avoiding idleness.
“Women must capture more ideas, always thinking about the well-being of the society in which they operate”, she stated.
The head of the department of the Provincial Sports Office in Moxico, Marlene Capuita, urged women to train themselves permanently, with the aim of achieving the desired empowerment.
When talking about strategies for women's financial empowerment, she said that investing in business is one of the safest ways for this purpose.
Held under the aegis of the Association of Students of Private Universities of Angola AEUPA, the meeting aimed to awaken the academic community about the role of women in academia and society, according to the activity organization.
