Ndalatando – The victims of the road accident which occurred on Tuesday in Golungo Alto, Province of Cuanza-Norte, are in stable clinical condition and out of danger.
On Tuesday, a runaway car crashed, causing injuries to 21 people that were going to a funeral, eight of whom were in critical condition.
Contacted today (Thursday), by ANGOP, the general director of the hospital unit, Armando João, said that all patients present a stable condition and optimistic prognosis, being out of danger.
At this time, four of the eight patients transferred to this health unit are in the orthopedics area to undergo surgical intervention next week.
The only pregnant patient was transferred to the Maternal and Child Hospital.
On Wednesday, the patients received a visit from the provincial governor, João Diogo Gaspar, who expressed solidarity and wished for a speedy recovery.
On the occasion, João Diogo Gaspar assured that the government of Cuanza-Norte, together with the Municipal Administration of Golungo Alto, is providing necessary assistance to the victims and their families.
He asked drivers to be cautious and more responsible when putting themselves on the road, to avoid similar situations.
