Sumbe - The hospital units in the city of Sumbe, Cuanza-Sul province, are ready to meet the demand during New Year's Eve, after the reinforcement of their medical capacity, ANGOP has learned.

According to the director of the General Hospital of Cuanza-Sul, Agostinho Matamba, at least 80 doctors of different specialties and 300 nurses have been provided, as well as consumables, medicines and modern equipment.

The director of the Provincial Maternity Hospital, Leandro Rodrigues, on his turn assured that the hospital's capacity had been strengthened with the necessary medicines and resources to provide humane care to all patients.

The Deputy Governor, Emília Tchinawalile, encouraged the professionals to do their best with motivation and a good working environment and urged families to avoid excesses in order to celebrate New Year's Eve with joy and harmony.CIJ/LC/ALH/AMP
