Ndalatando – The province of Cuanza-Norte will benefit from scholarships for the specialized training of health professionals in Brazil, Minister Sílvia Lutucuta announced on Thursday, in Ndalatando.
The Minister of Health made a working visit to the province of Cuanza-Norte, to find out about the local health situation, the staff training program, maternal and child care and the works at the general hospital.
Speaking to the press, the Minister explained that the areas of public health, primary health care, maternal and child care, among others, were prioritized, and the scholarship program will be financed by the World Bank.
Sílvia Lutucuta also informed that she will soon start a specialized training internship for licensed nurses.
She highlighted that a training program for intern doctors without specialties is also underway in the province, supported by the World Bank.
She highlighted that the sector's biggest concern is the capacity building of human capital, to provide humanized services to the population, and with improved infrastructures.
The province of Cuanza-Norte lacks doctors specialized in the areas of traumatology, cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, intensive care and dermatology. IMA/OHA/DOJ
