Luanda - At least 39 suspected cases of cholera have been registered in the last 24 hours in the provinces of Luanda, Bengo and Icolo e Bengo, the Ministry of Health said in the daily cholera bulletin sent to ANGOP on Friday.
According to the bulletin, Luanda registered 30 cases, followed by Bengo with six and Icolo and Bengo with three.
The ministry reported 24 deaths, recorded in the municipalities of Cacuaco (18 ), Viana (two) and Belas (one), two in Dande and one in Panguila.
A total of 17 patients are hospitalized in the municipal hospitals of Cacuaco, Heróis de Quifangondo, Augusto Ngangula and the municipal hospital of Quiçama.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, 422 suspected cases of cholera have been reported, aged between two and 73 years, 208 males and 214 females. MEL/OHA/AMP
