The director of the provincial health office in Moxico, Tiago Mário, reported, on Wednesday, that 4 of the 9 municipalities that make the province of Moxico are without morgues.
The municipalities of Caméia, Léua, Luchazes and Alto Zambeze that are without morgue services in the region, according to the provincial director's statement.
He informed that at the provincial level, only 9 health units have morgues, namely, the General Hospital, with a capacity of 10 drawers, the Provincial Maternity with 12, the Municipal Hospital with 24, and the Teixeira Bravos health center, both in the municipal headquarters of Moxico.
The municipalities of Camanongue, with 6 drawers, Luacano and Luau, with 9 drawers respectively, complete the list.
Given the demand, Tiago Mário said that there is a need to build morgues in all municipal units and improve some details of the morgue in the municipality of Lucano. ISAU/YD/CF/DOJ
