Luena – A nursing technician placed in the emergency room at the Municipal Hospital of Camanongue, Moxico province, was arrested by the National Police, for alleged theft of large quantities of medicines from the health unit, ANGOP learned on Friday.
According to data from the Municipal Administration of Camanongue, the aforementioned nurse, who worked a shift, took advantage of the “dead of night” to steal the drugs, having been caught in the act by a security agent from the health unit.
The accused confessed to committing the crime, claiming that he had had the keys to the establishment for a year, when he was carrying out supervisory work in the unit.
The administrator of the aforementioned hospital, Elizeu Quintas, considered the nurse's attitude “surprising”, given that the unit has experienced a shortage of medicines.
