Malanje - The World Health Organization (WHO) interim representative, Zabulon Yoti, reiterated Tuesday, in Malanje Province, the continued support to the provincial government in combating emergency cases, public health and control of several diseases.
Speaking at the end of the audience granted by the provincial governor of Malanje, Marcos Alexandre Nhunga, Zabulon Yoti said that the support essentially consists of actions aimed at increasing health coverage and training technicians, towards the prevention and treatment of diseases.
He also highlighted the humanization of health services, as a line of WHO action for the province, having highlighted that the Organization has ongoing projects for the country aimed at psycho-social assistance for people living with HIV/AIDS.
During the hearing, issues linked to nutrition, disease prevention and primary health care were discussed, as well as the results of the polio vaccination campaign that took place from the 6th to the 8th of this month, in the province.
The visit to Malanje by the interim representative of the WHO aims to sign a protocol of understanding with the Rainha Nginga Mbande University, in the field of health.
