Luau - A 37-year-old woman, identified as Júlia Cahilo, gave birth to quadruplets, including a stillbirth baby, in the early hours of Tuesday, at the Municipal Maternity of Luau, Moxico province, ANGOP found.
The babies, all female, the first recorded in the Maternity section of the Luau General Hospital, were born weighing 1,700 grams each, the result of a caesarean delivery.
'Unfortunately, one of the children was reported as stillborn,' described the medical team that accompanied the labor, which, however, said it was premature to advance the causes.
According to information obtained by ANGOP, the parents of the newborns are from the municipality of Luacano, more than 100 kilometers from Luau, having traveled to this location to enjoy medical monitoring of the pregnancy.
With the three girls, the couple has a total of seven children.
The border municipality of Luau is more than 350 kilometers east of the city of Luena, capital of the province of Moxico. TC/YD/DOJ
