Luanda - The minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, on Saturday in Luanda denied information circulating on social media regarding an alleged resurgence of cases of Covid-19.
According to a statement which ANGOP has had access to, the minister said that the situation in the country is stable, with a very low rate of transmissibility, which gives some security.
Sílvia Lutucuta also said that "one of the great gains is that the country has a mortality reduction”.
The minister also informed that people with Covid-19 and some of those who are likely to die are patients with serious comorbidities and have not taken the full doses of the vaccine.
The cumulative data of Covid-19 in the country recorded a total of 105,273 cases until Friday, of which, 103,309 recovered.
To date, the country controls 31 active cases and a total of 1,933 deaths, 9 are symptomatic and 22 asymptomatic.
The Ministry of Health (MINSA) reiterates the call for individual and collective protection measures.
