Talatona - More than 500 patients were assisted, during the first hours, of the Health Fair, opened this Wednesday, in Luanda, as part of the National Humanization in Health week, which runs from the 24th to the 27th of July.
The event, sponsored by the Ministry of Health, is being held under the motto, Humanization: Caring with Empathy, Respect and Dignity, in the municipality of Talatona, and has services available to the public in the areas of pediatrics, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, occupational medicine and others.
Speaking to ANGOP, the director of the Humanization Office of the Ministry of Health, Djamila Príncipe, said that the objective is to bring care closer to the citizen, offering specialties that are not part of the assistance in municipal health units.
She said that the registered adherence is the result of mobilization work carried out by community agents from the municipality of Talatona and with it he hopes, during the two days, to serve more than 2,500 citizens.
Djamila Príncipe said that “The medicines are distributed free of charge, by the municipal health departments, exhibitors who are also donating medicines, according to the consultations carried out”.
As for humanization in hospital services, she reported that it is still an embryo, in terms of service, but in terms of infrastructure it can already be said that it is good, as a result of the executive's investment in the health area.
In this context, he informed that there is a professional training plan financed by the World Bank, also within the scope of reinforcing the humanization of hospital services.
The fair is made up of more than 55 tents, including companies, medium and higher institutes, hospitals and suppliers from the Ministry of Health.
