Luanda - Burjeel Holdings, a leading health services provider in the United Arab Emirates, was invited Wednesday to invest in Angola in the health sector.
The invitation was made by the Angolan ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Júlio Maiato to the heads of the Emirates business group, during an audience at the Diplomatic Mission in Abu Dhabi.
According to a note sent to ANGOP, the ambassador received the senior director, Major Tom Louis, and Rahul Shukla, director of Global Patient Services, who during the meeting expressed interest in visiting Angola to prospect the market.
Founded in 2007, Burjeel Holdings deals with healthcare and patient management in a network of hospitals, medical centres, pharmacies and other services.
With 16 hospitals and 24 medical centres in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, the group has global expertise in various areas of healthcare. Its hospital chain has more than 15,000 employees and more than 1,000 doctors.
The company was recently honoured with the prestigious title of "Middle East Leader in Healthcare Excellence" during the "Recognitions" segment of the i3 Summit.
In October 2022, Burjeel Holdings made history by becoming the largest healthcare operator listed in the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange.
