Sumbe – At least 1,200 citizens benefited on Saturday, in Sumbe (Cuanza-Sul), from free medical and medication assistance, as part of the Health Fair promoted by the National Union of Bank Employees of Angola (SNEBA), in partnership with the Municipal Health Directorate.
During the event, citizens benefited from general clinic and hepatitis B consultations, as well as undergoing screening tests, with emphasis on HIV/AIDS, diabetes, high blood pressure, among others.
Speaking to ANGOP, SNEBA's deputy delegate in Cuanza Sul, Adeus Morais, said that the event aimed to provide free medical and medication assistance to the population.
For her part, the head of the Municipal Public Health Office, Maria Júlia Domingos, advised city dwellers to create the habit of carrying out routine consultations, to enable the early combat and prevention of pathologies.
Meanwhile, citizen Saudia Agostinho praised SNEBA's initiative, stressing that it demonstrates its concern for the well-being of the population.
The consultations were provided by doctors, nurses and other health technicians from the National Institute of Medical Emergencies of Angola (Inema). SN/Lc/MCN/CF/DOJ
