Luanda - At least sixteen passengers tested positive for Covid-19 during the post-disembark testing process in the last seven days at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, Health Minister Silvia Lutucuta said Saturday.

According to a joint Executive Decree of the Ministries of Health, Interior, Foreign Affairs and Transport, which temporarily suspends the air link with Brazil, South Africa and Portugal, as of this Sunday, 24, as well as the mandatory post-disembarkation testing, since last Saturday (16th).

According to the spokeswoman for the Interministerial Commission for Combating and Preventing Covid-19, which was reviewing the operation of repatriation flights for Angolan and foreign citizens residing in the country, 6,296 travellers carried by TAAG, TAP, among other operators, were screened during this period.

 For the work, Angolan airline TAAG carried out 38 repatriation flights from the cities of Lisbon (Portugal), Johannesburg and Cape Town (South Africa) and São Paulo (Brazil).
