Ndalatando – The Health sector in the Cuanza Norte Province was reinforced with 792 health professionals.
They are those professionals picked from among the candidates, who due to lack of vacancies were not hired in the public tender for entry into the civil service, held in 2022.
They received placement guides on Wednesday, in a ceremony led by the acting director of the Provincial Health Office, Damião Caludica.
Among the 792 hired professionals, there are included 406 mid-level nursing technicians and 270 mid-level diagnostic and therapeutic technicians, while 116 senior nursing and diagnostic technicians and therapists.
Damião Caludica reported that most of these technicians were sent to the new general hospital in Cuanza Norte, which will be opened in the coming months.
He said that the province's new general hospital, with a capacity for 200 beds, is expected to have 15 medical specialties and several specialized treatment services in the first phase, adding that it will need a huge number of technicians.
At the time, the official asked the newly hired technicians for greater commitment to the profession and humanization in patient care services.
