Dundo - The health authorities in Lunda Norte started this Monday to vaccinate professionals from public and private media bodies against Covid-19.
In total 49 professionals from Angolan Press Agency (ANGOP), Public Television of Angola (TPA), National Radio of Angola (RNA), November Editions, the Media Office of the Provincial Government and Rádio Eclésia will be vaccinated.
According to the spokeswoman for the Multisectoral Commission for the Response to Covid-19 in Lunda Norte, Filomena Simão, the vaccination period for this class runs until Tuesday 27.
She said that since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, early month, over 5,000 citizens have been vaccinated, of the 11,323 planned, namely health professionals, teachers and agents of the Ministry of the Interior and the Angolan Armed Forces and the elderly.
In Lunda Norte province, 11,600 doses of the Astrazeneca vaccine are available and a vaccination post has been set up at Escola do Magistério Primário "11 de Novembro", with 20 teams to attend three thousand people per day.
