Cabinda - The governor of the province of Cabinda, Mara Quiosa, on Saturday highlighted the importance of scientific conferences in exchanging knowledge, strengthening professional capabilities and innovating medical and pharmaceutical care.
Mara Quiosa made this statement during the closing ceremony of the first scientific days for doctors who were trained in different areas of health, at the Cabinda Training Center part of the Ervanário Luís Gomes Sambo General Hospital.
For the governor, continuous professional development is essential to face the sector's new challenges, especially regarding the new technologies that require properly prepared resources.
She reiterated the provincial government's commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the training and qualification of health professionals, since investing in the training and development of doctors means investing in the health and well-being of the population.
Mara Quiosa encouraged all doctors to strive for humanized services, treating patients with respect, patriotism and professionalism.
The event aimed at resident doctors at the Cabinda Training Center was attended by 309 health professionals and 33 teachers.
Taking place from the 25th to the 28th of June, under the motto "Investing on quality research for better action in assisting the population", among various topics, the participants addressed intervention policies in the health sector, emergency cases, risk factors and the determinants social issues with a greater incidence in the emergence of diseases, intervention policies in the health sector, among others.
