Caála - The health authorities of Caála municipality, central Huambo province, have pledged to focus on fighting against tuberculosis in the region.
In order to achieve this goal, the health authorities announced strategic plan that include training of thirty-four health technicians this year.
The technician will receive training in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and fight against disease.
With this strategic plan, the local authorities intend to bring the disease treatment network closer to the four communes: Calenga, Catata, Cuima and Sede.
After the training, which is due to start soon, the technicians will be spread to the 34 health units that make up the local Health System, except the municipal hospital, said the supervisor of the local Tuberculosis Diagnosis and Treatment Centre, José Castilho.
