Lubango – The Angolan Nurses Order (ORDENFA) dismissed on Tuesday, in Lubango City, the chairwoman of ORDENFA’s Provincial Council in Huíla, Luzia Celina Muhongo, for violating the rules.
When reading the dismissal, the ORDENFA National President, Eduardo Elambo Caiangula, stated that Luzia Muhungo “no longer meets the conditions to continue at the position, as she is accused of ill-treatment of members, embezzlement of contribution money, arbitrary layoffs and appropriation of assets”.
For this reason, according to the president, to avoid a vacuum, the Order of Nurses created a management committee headed by the nurse, Fuaculongo Pedro, who will have 90 days to organize a new electoral campaign.
He stated that the dismissed official should not perform any act in the name of ORDENFA, warning that the omission of any institutional asset, in the process of handing over portfolios, is subject to disciplinary, civil or criminal proceedings.
According to what he said, Celina Muhongo used her powers to force a third term, but ended up being prevented from doing so by the members.
According to Eduardo Caiangula, the act of preventing the candidacy of two other nurses in the election last March, which did not take place, due to a precautionary measure filed by those concerned, also weighs heavily against her.
