Luanda – At least 4,834 candidates will participate, nationally, in the tests for specialization courses in nursing, which will begin on Friday (20), the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health (MINSA), Adão Chimuanji, said Thursday in Luanda.
Speaking to ANGOP, he said that the tests will be carried out in the provinces of Cabinda, Cunene, Cuanza Norte, Cuanza Sul, Bengo, Bié, Huambo, Lunda Sul and Luanda.
According to him, the initiative is part of the program which foresees specialized training for 38,000 professionals in the health sector.
Adão Chimuanji said that training is set to start in January 2025, with 80% in the national territory and 20% outside the country.
In October this year, when addressing the Nation in parliament, President João Lourenço announced that an ambitious plan for the specialization of health staff was being implemented, which foresees the training of around 38,000 professionals, with an emphasis on family health team for primary care, with the aim of guaranteeing proximity services.
