Luanda – At least 1,300 patients with various pathologies have benefited, since last Wednesday, in Luanda, from medical and medication assistance, provided by the Chinese hospital vessel “Peace Ark”.
The aforementioned vessel, which carries out a humanitarian mission in Angola, is docked at the port of Luanda with a team of more than a hundred health professionals, offering free medical services in areas such as cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, nephrology, gynecology and obstetrics.
The vessel is equipped with operating rooms, medical offices, nursing stations, hundreds of beds and a helicopter for quick patient evacuation.
The arrival of the aforementioned vessel is part of China-Africa cooperation, and is scheduled to dock in 13 African countries.
Before Angola, the Peace Ark was in the Seychelles islands, Tanzania, Madagascar, Mozambique and South Africa.
The vessel is to remain in the Angolan capital until Thursday (11th).
