Luanda - The Vice-President of Angola Esperança da Costa is to open Wednesday the 25th session of the National Family Council in Luanda.
According to a press release sent to ANGOP, the event will take place as part of the celebrations of the International Day of Families on May 15, under the motto ‘investing in families and achieving sustainable development goals’.
The event will be attended by the president of the World Family Organization, Deise Noeli Weber Kusztra.
The National Family Council takes place every year as part of the International Day of Families, which was established by the United Nations General Assembly with the aim of highlighting the importance of the family in building safe, harmonious and properly structured societies.
In Angola, the date has been celebrated since the creation of the Ministry of the Family in September of 1997. FMA/VIC/DAN/AMP
