Luanda - The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, is to chair this Thursday, in Luanda, the solemn opening ceremony of the 2023/2024 academic year, as part of the monitoring she carries out on the Higher Education sector.
The ceremony precedes the start of classes, scheduled for Monday, October 2nd, which includes a calendar of 42 academic weeks, spread over two semesters of 21 weeks each, and nine weeks of preparation, scheduled to close in July next year.
A total of 230,252 places are available for the academic year, 200,392 (87%) in Private Higher Education Institutions and the remaining 29,860 (13%) in public Universities and other public Higher Education institutions.
This number corresponds to an increase of 69,562 vacancies (30%) compared to the previous academic year.
