Luanda - The Austrian ambassador to Angola, Romana Konigsbrun, on Tuesday, in Luanda, considered the visit of her country´s chancellor, Karl Nehammer, as a crucial step towards strengthening bilateral and strategic relations on the African continent.
To the diplomat, who lives in South Africa, Angola is one of the most stable countries in the region and a strategic one in the framework of the program of closer multilateral relations that Austria wants to develop with some African countries.
To the ambassador, who was speaking at the 1st Angola-Austria Business Forum, the trade relations between the two states are still in their first steps, taking into account the potential of the two countries that have only registered a few investments related to renewable energies, such as the production of green hydrogen.
She informed that from now on, they will better explore the potentialities and opportunities of the two countries, in order to change the Austrian trade balance and investment portfolio in Angola.
The 1st Angola-Austria Business Forum was held Tuesday, April 25, promoted by the Consulate of Austria in Angola, in light of the official visit of the Head of the Government of that European country, the Chancellor Karl Nehammer.
During the forum, among other aspects, the participants addressed the potentialities for cooperation between Angola and Austria, with focus on agriculture, health, industry, waste, gas and infrastructure.
