Luanda - United States President Joe Biden visit to Angola reinforces the country's visibility in international prestige and in the way it attracts investments, tourists and other aspects, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Téte António said on Wednesday.
Speaking to the press in Benguela at the end of Joe Biden's three-day visit to Angola, the head of Angolan diplomacy also said that this fact reaffirmed the political will that must be advanced with the Lobito Corridor project in the various aspects.
He highlighted the evolution that the concept of this Corridor has seen in its scope in terms of the opportunities it adds, which led to the holding of the Multilateral Summit, which was attended by the Heads of State of the countries involved in the project.
'It is not just about the transport of minerals, but also about other opportunities in agriculture, agrobuiness and everything that surrounds the Lobito Corridor,' he said, stressing the advantages not only for Angola, but for Zambia and the DRC.
According to the Minister, the Lobito Corridor 'is the path to the great perspective of the future'.
He considered that the multiplier impact of investments touches, in the medium term, people's lives, given the fact that, by investing in areas such as agriculture, economic diversification, many citizens will be employed and production will benefit.
As for the other countries, he stressed the investment in mining, taking into account the shortening of the route, compared to the current one.
