Hanoi - The MPLA and the Communist Party of Vietnam (PCV) signed on Wednesday, a cooperation agreement that will give a new dynamic to bilateral relations between the two ruling parties in areas of mutual interest.
In addition to consultations for arrangement positions in the international arena, the document states the training of staff, the exchange of delegations as well as economic advice from the respective governments, with the aim of finding the best forms of investment based on the market economy.
For the MPLA, the secretary of the Political Bureau (BP) for International Relations (RI), Manuel Augusto, signed the quadrennial agreement, while the secretary of the Central Committee (CC) and head of the CC's Foreign Relations Commission, Le Hoai Trung, did so for the PCV.
Afterwards, Manuel Augusto also met with the permanent member of the PCV CC Secretariat, Luong Cuong.
Politicians reviewed the global political status, with emphasis on the respective regions, the latest events in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), namely the ceasefire, deserved from the Vietnamese side, recognition of the efforts of the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, who as Champion of peace and reconciliation in Africa, played a crucial role in facilitating political-diplomatic dialogue between Rwanda and the DRC, aiming to stabilize that Great Lakes region.
In turn, the MPLA congratulated the PCV for the appointment of To Lam as secretary general, following the death of Nguyen Phu Trong, and also for providing an environment of peace and dialogue in the Asian region.
This performance led to Hanoi, in September 2023, the President of the United States of America (USA), Joe Biden, in December of the same year the president of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping and in June of the current year the president of the Russian Federation, Wladimir Putin.
Hanoi is the capital and second largest city of Vietnam. It is located in the center of the Red River delta plain, 88 km from the coast of the Gulf of Tonquim.
