Luanda - The 4th Ordinary Meeting of the Political Commission of the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA), held in the weekend in Luanda, addressed the country's political situation, the party's internal life, as well as the international affairs.
According to the final communiqué of the meeting, ANGOP had access Sunday, the meeting expressed, on the other hand, concern about the high cost of basic food products.
The document highlighted that this situation has contributed to the increase in poverty levels in Angolan families.
The event took place under the motto: “Unity, Discipline and Work for Victory”, on the 20th and 21st of December 2024, and was presided over by its chairman, Adalberto Costa Júnior.
He welcomed and reinforced the political reply to the Message on the State of the Nation, delivered by him, which portrayed the reality of Angola.
Adalberto Costa Júnior congratulated the Angolan people on the celebration of the 49th anniversary of National Independence and reiterated the party's commitment to becoming a democratic alternation to make Angola a better country.
During the meeting the largest opposition party, approved the report and accounts of the Executive Secretariat of the Permanent Committee of the Political Commission, referring to the period under analysis, as well as the Activity Plan and the respective General Budget for the economic year 2025, whose motto is “2025 – Year of National Unity for the Alternation of Power”.
