Caxito – The secretary of the UNITA party municipal committee in Dande, Bengo Province, Joaquim André Augusto, has denounced the existence of cases of political intolerance in some locations of this northern region.
The politician, who was speaking at a press conference in the capital city, Caxito, expressed concern about the removal of some of his party's banners in the villages of the Úcua and Mabubas communal committees.
According to the official, the targets were the villages of Kilembeketa, Santamboleia, Km-30, Km-40, Jungo da Estrada, Três Casas, Kudituma Ngo and Mussenga.
He called on his party members not to give in to provocations that promote political intolerance and undermine peace and democracy in the country.
