Lubango - The president of UNITA (largest opposition party), Adalberto Costa Júnior, defended on Thursday, in Lubango, Huila Province, the need for the state to pay more attention to the business class, so that it can progress and ensure economic stability.
The initiative is part of the communities' parliamentary days that have been taking place since the 7th in the 14 municipalities and 52 communes that make up the province, in which the 90 deputies of their party are involved.
Speaking to the press, after a “closed door” meeting with local businesspeople, Adalberto Costa Júnior explained that “without a thriving business sector, there is no development or economic stability”.
Without specifying, the leader of the “black rooster” (UNITA's nickname) highlighted that if this sector is not given due attention, the consequences will directly and indirectly affect the life of the entire society.
He explained that during the hearing, the business people complained about the actions of the General Tax Administration (AGT), access to bank credits, as well as the presence of foreign businesspeople in small businesses.
“We also share with them the challenges that go beyond our country, we are a country located in the Southern Region and there are some dynamics that are in action, it is good that Angolan businesspeople are prepared for these challenges”, he emphasized.
