Luanda - The United Republic of Tanzania plans, in 2025, to open the diplomatic mission in Angola, as part of the deepening of bilateral cooperation that unites the two countries and peoples.
This intention was expressed today in Copenhagen, Denmark, during a working meeting between the minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and the minister of Foreign Affairs and Eastern Community of Tanzania, January Yusuf Makamba.
The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Business of the Nordic and African Countries, also served for the two personalities to analyze matters of bilateral, regional, continental and international interest.
Regarding bilateralism, January Yusuf Makamba took the opportunity to congratulate Angola for the positive role it has been playing in achieving peace on the African continent.
Ministers Téte António and January Yusuf Makamba also addressed issues linked to the various candidacy processes for many regional and continental bodies, as well as Tanzania's assumption of the next rotating presidency of the SADC Defense and Security body, currently led by Zambia.
Politico-diplomatic relations between Angola and the United Republic of Tanzania are good and are based on historical ties of friendship, fraternity and solidarity, forged in the struggle for the liberation of African peoples.
