Lubango - Angolan president João Lourenço arrived Wednesday in Lubango, southern Huíla province, to chair the opening ceremony of the 4th edition of the Angolan Municipalities and Cities Fair (FMCA) to be held on August 10-13, 2023.
João Lourenço, who is paying a 48-hour visit to the region, was welcomed by the provincial governor of Huila, Nuno Barnabé Mahapi.
The president will meet with members of the Angolan Government.
Fair of Municipalities
The Municipalities Fair will bring together exhibitions from the country’s 164 municipal administrations, 18 provincial governments, ministries and public institutes.
The event will also bring together public/private companies, regulatory bodies, startups, representatives of civil society organisations, among other entities.
The province of Huíla hosts the exhibition this year under the motto "Life is made in municipalities”.
The last edition of the Municipalities and Cities Fair took place in November 2018 in Benguela and gathered 250 companies from the country's 164 municipalities and representatives from six ministerial departments. AFL/ADR/TED/NIC
