Mbanza Kongo – One hundred and 71 citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were repatriated, in the last seven days, by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) in the province of Zaire, for illegal entry and stay in the country.
In a note sent on Tuesday to ANGOP, in Mbanza Kongo, the SME informs that, of this number, 102 are men and 69 women, repatriated through the Kimbumba (Soyo) and Luvo border posts, in the municipality of Mbanza Kongo.
He adds that of the 171 illegal immigrants, 168 left by administrative decision and three by judicial action.
The aforementioned citizens of this neighboring country, the report also states, were collected in the municipalities of Mbanza Kongo and Soyo, as part of control and inspection actions against foreigners in an irregular migratory situation.
The province of Zaire shares a vast land and river border with the DRC, stretching 310 kilometers. JL/DOJ
