Cabinda –At least 141 citizens from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have been repatriated by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME) in Cabinda province in the last seven days for illegally entering and staying in Angola.
According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, the illegal immigrants were repatriated via the Yema border.
It clarifies that they were found in various neighborhoods and localities in the province as part of actions to control and inspect foreign citizens in an irregular migratory situation, adding that 100 are men and 41 are women.
Cabinda province shares a 220 km border with the DRC, of which 120 are land and 120 are river. JFC/JL/AMP
