Dundo – The Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) in the province of Lunda-Norte, in coordination with the National Police (PN), seized, on Wednesday, 26,250 liters of fuel, in the municipality of Capenda-Camulemba, whose destination was the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for smuggling purposes.
The SIC communication department in that province informed that the fuel (gasoline type) was stored in 105 drums, with a capacity of 250 liters each, seized inside a residence, in the Muxinda neighborhood, where the alleged perpetrator of the crime was also arrested.
Angop learned that the presumed perpetrator of the crime will be presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office, for the formalization of the accusation and the fuel will be delivered to the general tax Office (AGT).
SIC appeals to the population to cooperate with defense and security bodies in the fight against fuel smuggling.
