Dundo – At least 53 diamond stones of various carats have been seized in Cambulo and Lucapa municipalities, Lunda-Norte province, during a micro-operation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), for illegal possession and trafficking.
According to a note sent to ANGOP on Monday by the Ministry of Interior in Lunda-Norte, the diamonds were in possession of five citizens, including a Gambian.
It adds that a diamond weighing scale, an equal number of tickets, a testing machine, tweezers, four machines and 600,000 Kwanzas were also seized from the alleged traffickers.
The diamonds and assets seized will be handed over to ENDIAMA E.P., as a trustee. HD/AMP
