Uíge - At least 269 explosive devices were removed Friday from the National Coffee Institute (INCA) facilities, on the outskirts of the capital of the northern Uíge province, the National Demining Institute (INAD) has announced.
A perimeter of five square metres was cleared in just three hours of demining, explained the head of INAD's provincial department in Uíge, Eugénio Horácio.
He said it was the first time that so many explosive devices were removed in the same place. Previous data put at between two and three artifacts of war.
He pledged that the operation will carry on Monday (23).
In February 2022, INAD destroyed 742 explosive devices in Uíge province.
