Menongue - Rehabilitation work of Licua/Mavinga highway in south-east Cuando Cubango province, which covers 245 kilometres, is scheduled to end in the first quarter of 2023.
This was announced by minister of State and head of the Military Affairs Office to the President of the Republic, Francisco Furtado.
Work began in August of the current year as part of the Government programme to improve the circulation of people and goods.
The work is being carried out by the military engineering team of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA).
Francisco Furtado, accompanied by the governor of Cuando Cubango province, José Martins, delivered 27 new pieces of technical equipment and vehicles.
He also handed over to the military brigade an ambulance that will also serve the over two thousand inhabitants of Luengue.
Speaking to the press in Licua, the official said that the project would continue throughout the southern part of Cuando Cubango province.
He expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the earthmoving process, carried out by 100 specialists.
