Luanda - Angolan Ombudswoman, Florbela Araújo, met Friday, in Johannesburg, with South Africa 's Military Ombudsman, Vusi Masondo, to discuss issues of common interest.
The meeting discussed mainly issues related to the need to share experiences, as well as to identify areas of institutional cooperation, among other matters.
The Angolan Ombudswoman also attended the celebration of the 10th anniversary of South Africa’s Military Ombuds creation and further participated in a symposium on the role of the Ombuds in supervising military-civilian architecture, held in Pretoria.
Florbela Araujo was expected to address themes on "The Role of the Ombudsperson and the Scope of Action in Defence of Citizens' Rights, and "The role and mandate of the Ombuds and the duty of cooperation of the organs of the State's Central Administration".
The visit resulted from an invitation made by the Military Ombudsman, Reserve General Vusi Masonda.
