Luanda - The Ombudswoman, Florbela Rocha Araújo, Thursday in Luanda reiterated the institution 's commitment the rights, freedoms and guarantees of citizens.
Speaking at a season greetings get-together, Florbela Rocha Araújo, said this task will be carried out with a huge sense of responsibility, intensity and rigour.
The Justice official condemned attitudes of indifference, lack of commitment, acts of impunity, influence peddling, easy enrichment and violation of a set of administrative principles contained in the Civil Service Law, that do not dignify public servants.
Florbela Araújo underlined the role played by the Ombudsman's Office this year, both nationally and internationally, not only as director of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI), but also as chairperson of the Network of Ombudsmen of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP).
The Ombudswoman also presented honourable mentions to some of the institution's staff for their work and dedication.
