Uíge - Ombudswoman Florbela Araújo reaffirmed Thursday in northern Uige province the permanent commitment to actions aimed at improving the protection of citizens' rights.
This was after her visit to some local institutions, such as the prison facility, the Criminal Investigation Service, the Home for the Elderly "Quituma", General Hospital and the Children's Center of Quilomosso.
Florbela Araújo said that the institution will continue to defend the concerns of citizens, especially paying greater attention to the Elderly and the needy.
She said that the role of the Ombudsman Office is also related to guaranteeing subsidies for elderly people who have completed military life.
The jurist, who has been in Uíge province since Wednesday, is expected to hold a lecture Friday (18) on “Mandate and function of the Ombudsman Office and the duty of cooperation with the central and local Public Administration bodies of the State.
