Huambo – The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, on Friday inspected the construction work on the Dondi University Campus in the municipality of Cachiungo, central Huambo province, which is scheduled for completion in December.
The Campus will have four buildings on an area of nine hectares, the infrastructure is budgeted at 6 billion kwanzas and includes, among other things, 40 classrooms, on-campus housing for 1,500 students and an administrative area.
The Vice-President received detailed explanations from the project coordinator, Hélder Chipindo, about this first phase.
The Dondi University Campus, whose construction work is completed at 82%, will accommodate 4,500 students on nursing, theology, arts and manufacturing programmes, and it is geared towards entrepreneurship and innovation in the areas of agriculture and livestock.
The Vice-President was accompanied by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Maria do Rosário Bragança, the governor of Huambo, Lotti Nolika, and the municipal administrator of Cachiungo, Paulo Moma. VC/VIC/ADR/DAN/DOJ
