Luanda – Angola’s First Lady Ana Dias Lourenço said Thursday in Luanda that despite the challenging international macroeconomic context the country has been able to respond to all challenges, largely due to the resilience of the main economic and social agents.
Ana Dias Lourenço was speaking at the presentation of the ninth edition of the Siriús Awards, an initiative by Deloitte company.
The goal of the initiative is to recognise good practices in the management of organisations and in the performance of businesspeople, entrepreneurs and managers, contributing to the creation of a culture of excellence.
The First Lady said it is up to the Siriús Awards to recognise the best management practices of the organisations and distinguish the personalities and projects that allowed the national economy, even in the face of obstacles, to remain strong and competitive.
Ana Dias Lourenço praised the role of the Siriús Awards in encouraging the organisations and main economic and social actors who want, year after year, to do more and better to boost the economy.
The First Lady was invited to preside over the jury of the ninth edition of the Siriús Awards.
On the occasion, the president of Deloitte Angola, José Barata, said that applications are open for the organisations, and they can apply through www.premiossirius.com
He informed that his institution intends, this year, to contribute, once again, to the promotion of a society based on the values of rigour, transparency and excellence.
The prize winners will be announced in March.
