Luanda - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, is already in the country's capital, after completing a two-day working day in the province of Cuanza-Norte, where he opened the new Local General Hospital.
Named after Mário Pinto de Andrade, the hospital, inaugurated on Tuesday, has 200 beds and will provide assistance in the specialties of surgery, imaging, physical rehabilitation, neonatology, emergencies, intensive care and others.
On the same day, the Head of State noted the level of execution of the works of the new water supply project to the city of Ndalatando.
On site, he received explanations and toured the various areas of the new catchment system built in the municipal headquarters of Lucala, equipped with a pumping capacity of 17.7 thousand cubic meters of water/day and which should be completed in February 2025.
The day also served for João Lourenço to visit the agricultural products fair, the result of the work of local peasants. Products such as beans, tomatoes, corn, onions, cassava, carrots, eggplant, pumpkin, among others, were on display.
Today, the Head of Executive Power met with the government of Cuanza-Norte, to learn about the socio-economic situation of the region and define strategies to promote local development.
